Collective and intelligent mobility

Our Collective and Intelligent Mobility team supports cities and regions in integrating innovative and disruptive technologies into their sustainable urban mobility visions and strategies. As change agents and technology brokers, we facilitate and support the appropriate incorporation of trends such as e-mobility, Mobility as a Service or connected and automated driving into urban mobility planning processes.

Using a multi-stakeholder approach including city authorities, transport operators, industry and research organisations, we tailor mobility solutions by actively bringing emerging technologies from the lab to urban environments. We prepare cities and regions through capacity building for changes in organisational settings and help them manage the challenges related to emerging technologies.

Our team is also working on strategy and policy development, business model development, impact and transferability assessment as well as the development of processes and tools to support decision-making for low-carbon mobility planning.

Our services

  • Advising and supporting clients in the incorporation of new mobility trends into sustainable urban mobility planning (SUMP) processes and strategies; for example integrating automation, electro-mobility, Connected/Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS), Mobility as a Service (MaaS), shared mobility, and big data concepts.
  • Development of processes and tools to support decision-making for low-carbon and technology-oriented mobility/transport planning
  • Capacity building for public transport authorities and companies
  • Development of concepts, business cases and models for the electrification and automation of public transport
  • Developing integrated electromobility strategies and concepts for multi-purpose charging infrastructure
  • Impact and transferability assessment of technologies and new mobility trends
  • Urban mobility/transport strategy and policy development
  • Research, analysis, multi-stakeholder consultation, and promotion to support the above
