4Front Cluster meeting involving 9 EU projects in Brussels

In February, the two-day 4Front cluster meeting on Network and Traffic Management (NTM) Systems officially marked the kick-off for the preparation of a revised Strategic Research and Implementation Roadmap for NTM. Organized through a series of workshops, the meeting focused on various aspects of the roadmap, including establishing the current status quo, setting policy goals, and formulating a strategic plan for implementation.

Kick-off for the feasibility study of cross-border SUMPs

Rupprecht Consult and Panteia, in collaboration with representatives from the Dutch cities of Enschede, Almelo and Hengelo, and Osnabrück and Münster in Germany, have initiated a feasibility study to develop a regional cross-border Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan in accordance with the revised guidelines of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). The project commenced on 30th January 2024 with a meeting in Almelo.

Kick-off meeting for the curriculum of the Hessian mobility training

Rupprecht Consult, Hessen Trade and Invest, and the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Housing kicked off a new training project to support Hessian municipalities in developing Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs). Tailored modules will support the communities in their process of establishing an SUMP and provide relevant hands-on knowledge.

Vladislav Sidorov is a consultant and researcher who specializes in urban mobility, cities, and infrastructure. He earned his Master’s degree in Transport Planning from the University of Leeds (UK) and holds Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Engineering from Ural Federal University.His professional background includes working in strategic consulting, logistics, and research institutions. Before joining Rupprecht Consult, Vladislav worked with an urban planning consultancy, focusing on sustainable urban mobility, spatial planning, and master planning. He contributed to various significant projects, including the Spatial development strategy for a large metropolitan area and the Light Rail Transit (LRT) implementation strategy for a city with over 1 million people.At Rupprecht Consult, Vladislav is a valued member of the Collective and Intelligent Mobility team.

Hannah Walther holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural and Social Sciences and a Master of Science in Natural Resources Management and Development. Her semester abroad at the Barcelona School of Civil Engineering has sharpened her profile in urban mobility. Through her thesis research, she investigated sustainable mobility solutions in Guadalajara, Mexico, and Barcelona. Her work experience includes international development cooperation, project coordination, citizen participation, and conference organization in the field of sustainable urban mobility. She joined Rupprecht Consult as a Trainee in January 2024.

We warmly welcome Stefan Gabi as our new colleague

Stefan Gabi is educated as a spatial and environmental planner and has more than 20 years of experience in Integrated Urban Development Planning. He is also experienced as a consultant and facilitator/moderator in intercultural environments, with a focus on Eastern Europe. Stefan worked as head of division in Leipzig City Council’s office for urban regeneration (2000 to 2013), as an expert in urban planning at Timisoara City Council (2007 to 2009) and Lviv’s Municipal City Institute (2013 to 2019) in the framework of German development cooperation. He was Project Leader of Mobility Planning at Vectos GmbH (now part of SLR-Consulting) before joining Rupprecht Consult in October 2023 as a senior consultant and member of the People-Focussed Mobility Solutions team.
