UPPER Project General Assembly in Oslo
The UPPER Project partners gathered in Oslo for the 6th General Assembly – a vibrant exchange of approaches and experiences to shape the future of urban mobility. From accessibility workshops to celebrating new milestones like the U-SUMP tool launch, the meeting highlighted collaboration at its best.
We recently had the pleasure of reconnecting with the UPPER Project EU family in Oslo for an inspiring General Assembly, hosted in the heart of one of Europe’s most forward-thinking mobility cities.
The event was packed with valuable exchanges and interactive sessions, including:
- On-demand System Insights – UPPER partners from Ruter, Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr, City of Mannheim, Region Hannover, and Üstra shared their experiences with integrating and upscaling on-demand schemes as part of their larger public transport networks, sparking meaningful discussion around innovation and implementation.
- "Mind the Gap" Accessibility Session – We explored how accessible urban mobility can be experienced through senses like hearing and touch. A highlight: noticing how Oslo’s progressive mobility policies have created a remarkably quiet and pleasant city center.
- Launch of the U-SUMP Tool – Our new dashboard equips cities with the ability to monitor and assess the impact of their Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans using key performance indicators.
What’s next?
We’re now focused on onboarding the cities to the U-SUMP platform and bringing mobility data dashboards to life to support smarter urban mobility decisions.
