We are thrilled to announce the official handover of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) for Surabaya, Indonesia. This marks the final milestone of our significant project aimed at transforming urban mobility in Southeast Asia.
The ceremony took place earlier in July, with representatives from KfW Development Bank, the Government of East Java, Bappenas, and Egis in attendance.
Over the past 18 months, Rupprecht Consult GmbH, in partnership with Egis and DB Engineering & Consulting, has been at the forefront of developing this comprehensive masterplan.
The SUMP presents both short- and long-term mobility solutions, focusing on strategic reforms, improved transport management, mass transit lines, micro-mobility options, and intermodal integration. The plan aims to boost public transport usage and reduce air pollution, with implementation starting in 2025, beginning with the Surabaya Regional Railway Line (SRRL).
Rupprecht Consult GmbH continues to contribute to mobility planning in Southeast Asia!
