At the final event of SOLUTIONSplus, more than 40 partners and specialists gathered in Brussels for a two-day discussion on the future of urban electric transport.
The SOLUTIONSplus initiative has been driving innovation since January 2020 through nine global demonstration projects. The final event was held on June 24th and 25th, where the project's achievements were showcased, and plans for advancing sustainable urban electric transport were discussed. The event aimed to inspire action, foster partnerships, and facilitate knowledge sharing among cities, industries, researchers, and financiers.
During the event, participants discussed the scaling of effective e-mobility solutions and shared insights from city-level demonstrations. Key findings and takeaways from cities like Hanoi, Pasig, Kathmandu, Kigali, Dar es Salaam, Quito, Montevideo, Madrid, Nanjing, and Hamburg were highlighted in the SOLUTIONSplus Living Labs.
Rupprecht Consult played a crucial role in the project's success by leading capacity-building initiatives, including the development, organization, delivery, and hosting of the unique SOLUTIONSplus Global Training Programme for four years on our learning platform, Mobility Academy. We also conceptualized, prepared, and delivered a comprehensive capacity-building program for Montevideo on the topic of SUMP through online training sessions (e-course and webinars) and a two-day intensive training in Montevideo, Uruguay.
We are excited to continue our work and further develop the results and impacts of SOLUTIONSplus. We are currently involved in new projects such as e-BRT 2030 and STREnGth_M. These projects aim to strategically engage in bus electrification processes and support future research in road transport.
