On 21 September, the United Nations Development Programme is holding a workshop on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans in Belgrade, Serbia.
This workshop is one of the events organised within the framework of the European Mobility Week. Belgrade is on the right track. Late last year, in the frame of the UNDP Sustainable Transport project, Belgrade commenced the process of preparing the planning (first) phase of the Belgrade SUMP and has already gained some useful experience in this practice. Belgrade would like to share the lessons learned so far and exchange experience with other Serbian cities on measures taken at the local level that contribute to enhancing the sustainability of urban transport. Frank Wefering of Rupprecht Consult has been invited to this workshop as an SUMP expert presenting the European SUMP guidelines.
