Our new guidelines on intelligent mobility services

08.07.2021

On 21.06.2021, around 40 participants took part in a RAIM workshop where we presented the new guidelines on intelligent mobility services.

Among them were representatives of different institutions and mobility environments from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The project partners from AlbrechtConsult, Rupprecht Consult and Marketing Flow as well as the contracting authority BASt (Federal Highway Research Institute) presented the latest developments from the RAIM project. RAIM is the German acronym for "framework for intelligent mobility service architectures".First, the project team presented the RAIM guidelines, which are in the final development process. The guidelines accompany RAIM newcomers in the creation of architectures for their databased mobility services. They lead RAIM starters step by step through the complete RAIM process model. From the vision, the goals pursued, process definitions and responsibilities, to used data models, interfaces, applications and the actual hardware, the guidelines provide building blocks, tools, and examples to ensure the smooth and conflict-free running of the mobility service. The publication is planned for the end of July 2021. Later, the project team gave a live demonstration of the recently developed RAIM-tool. This tool is an extension for the "Enterprise Architect" software and enables a professional programme-based application of RAIM. Elements can for example be linked and placed in clear relationships. This greatly facilitates the representation of business relationships between roles or the clear assignment of tasks and responsibilities among other things. If an element is subsequently changed, it changes in every other place where it appears. Furthermore, the RAIM-tool provides different views, depending on who you want to present your results to, hide or show the relevant elements. The RAIM tool is available for free on the <link https: raim-architektur.de downloads external-link-new-window external link in new>download page of the RAIM homepage.
