08.11.2017

On 8 November, a new 1-year-project kicked off that will develop Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) and related infrastructure projects in the Ukrainian cities Poltawa and Schytomyr.

The project aims to improve the local capacities for integrated mobility planning and implementation. An integrated and participative mobility planning process will be conducted in Poltawa and Schytomyr that results in SUMPs in both cities. The planning processes aim to advance public transport, walking and cycling as well as mobility management and will become model processes applicable to other Ukrainian cities.Rupprecht Consult's role includes amongst other things the development of SUMP goals, objectives and indicators, serving as the SUMP expert that provides backstopping for several stages of the planning process, and the development and implementation of a capacity building program for the city administration.
