Inspiring SUMP conference in Bremen with more than 400 attendees from 39 countries

It was the principal annual event for all those involved in turning the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan concept into practice.
Matej Zakonjšek, Head of Cabinet of Commissioner Violeta Bulc and Head of Unit Daniela Rosca, who represented the European commission at the conference, stressed the importance of sustainable urban mobility planning and asked for intense discussions and interactive fora. Participants could not only listen to inspiring presentations or participate in parallel sessions on various Topics, they were also invited to join one of 11 excursions into Bremen's mobility hotspots. Other sustainable mobility events were taking place at times directly before and after the 3rd European Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans:
- CIVITAS Training on Inclusive Mobility, )
- The Embracing Active Travel for Health Conference
- The launch of the European Urban Transport Roadmap 2030 tool
In addition, on 14-15 April 2016 the SOLUTIONS conference "Transport in action: boosting the takeup of sustainable urban mobility solutions" conference(link is external) and national Kick-Off of Germany's European Mobility Week (EMW) will be taking place in Berlin. The SOLUTIONS project supports exchange on innovative and green urban mobility solutions between cities from Europe, Latin America and the Mediterranean. - See more at: <link http: www.eltis.org>
