How can decision-makers cope with the rapid surge of new technologies and innovative business models in the context of urban mobility? The first webinar of the GECKO project was conducted by our colleagues Bonnie Fenton and Hana Peters and it focused on the integration of e-scooters into urban mobility concepts.
Among the speakers of the webinar were stakeholders from both the provider’s and the political side: Marco Lietz from Circ and Michael Glotz-Richter from the city of Bremen presented their perspectives, highlighting the importance of a joint discussion and cooperation rather than ignorance. There are diverse issues involved in the topic, ranging from safety and integrativeness with other modes to parking and fleet-related aspects.
