Last Monday 27 September, the SOLUTIONSplus Africa training program was launched. Around 50 local authorities and city representatives from various African countries joined and participated actively during the webinars.
The SOLUTIONSplus Africa training program kicked-off and Module 1 took place from 27 September to 01 October with the active participation of around 50 city representatives from various African countries. The training program is organised in two modules. The first module just took place last week and focused on E-mobility charging infrastructure aiming to address the classical hurdles of deploying a reliable charging infrastructure, including financial, technical, regulatory, and awareness barriers. The second module is planned for the last week of October and will address city specific challenges for a successful e-mobility charging infrastructure implementation. Unit 1 launched last Monday, 27 of September: "Why and how of Electric mobility in East Africa within the wider context of sustainable mobility: A recap" aimed to provide a general framework, an overview of e-mobility in the African region, the planning and policy framework required for successful e-mobility application and two case studies from the region. Unit 1 was coordinated by us with contributions of UN-Habitat and UN Environment. We stressed the relevance of using SUMP as a general framework for e-mobility in order to align to policy goals and maximize impacts.Presentations and videos: <link http: www.solutionsplus.eu module_1_africa.html external-link-new-window external link in new>www.solutionsplus.eu/module_1_africa.html Register for Module 2: <link http: www.solutionsplus.eu africa_registration.html external-link-new-window external link in new>www.solutionsplus.eu/africa_registration.html+49 173 726 3684
