The traineeship's goal is to enable trainees first-hand experiences in our fields of work. Trainees are considered an integral and important part of our team, actively contributing to our running projects and adding expertise to working areas or methods that we are planning to further develop. Many of our previous trainees are now full-time consultants in our team.
In order to get the most out of the one-year traineeship programme, a training plan will be developed at the beginning of the year guiding trainees through their learning goals and projects. The training plan generally aims to give trainees an overview of our main work areas and projects. Skills to be contributed to our work and skills that could be acquired are identified and the best way to obtain new knowledge and experience is defined. The training plan is continuously adjusted according to the trainee's work and personal goals.
In addition, a personal mentor is nominated to support the trainee during the programme. Personal, academic and professional development goals will be defined together.
Our trainee programme is aimed at graduates and young professionals looking to start their career in research and mobility consulting. Within one year, you will be given the chance to work in a broad range of projects in the area of sustainable urban mobility and transport innovation. You will gather subject-specific insights and gain experience in project development and management, research and training in an international team of experienced consultants.

To get a more practical perspective, see what some of our (previous) trainees Lisa Marie, Wolfram and Morgane have to say about the programme:
The trainee programme was the ideal bridge between university and professional career for me. It gave me the chance to work in large-scale European research projects in the transport sector, together with highly experienced colleagues and partners. In the first weeks of my trainee programme, I was immediately involved in one running project. What seemed overwhelming at the beginning, did let me grow – professionally and personally – in such a short amount of time.
Right from the start of my traineeship, I became part of a respectful and competent team at Rupprecht Consult. The hierarchy is flat, and we don’t have to tremble in fear when mentioning disagreement, even with our boss-boss. Each trainee is assigned a mentor who is open to all questions, which is very helpful in the beginning.
The traineeship programme was a great opportunity as a young professional to familiarise myself with the working culture at Rupprecht Consult and get to know more about the diverse projects the company is involved in. I had the chance to directly delve into different projects and contribute to key deliverables and conferences. It is a considerable way to grow - both personally and professionally – while being surrounded by extremely experienced colleagues and partners.
