In 2015, we at Rupprecht Consult saved 10.961 kg of CO2 by travelling by rail rather than car.
This figure was issued by Deutsche Bahn and does therefore not include any train trips outside Germany, so in total the train rides certainly surpassed the almost 11 tons certified by Deutsche Bahn. 11 tons equal the yearly CO2 emissions of an average German. It is our policy to prefer more sustainable modes of transport where- and whenever possible, i.e. walking, cycling, rail, emobility. Many times, travelling can be avoided altogether by making intelligent use of modern communication technologies (such as telephone and video conferences). In the German Cycle to Work campaign, three Rupprecht Consult teams reached a mileage of over 4,500 km which saved almost 850 kg CO2.
