Study for KfW Development Bank Kicked Off in Frankfurt

On the 9th of November, Rupprecht Consult and KfW Development Bank commenced a research study through a kick-off meeting which took place at the KfW headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany.

The KfW study has started off after a productive and successful kick-off meeting in Frankfurt, where the plans, goals, and expected outcomes of the study were comprehensively discussed. Present in the meeting were Siegfried Rupprecht and Bernard Gyergyay, representing Rupprecht Consult, while the KfW was represented by transport sector experts.For this study, Rupprecht Consult has been hired by the KfW as an expert consultant for the transport sector as part of KfW’s series of studies dealing with the identification of information and communication technologies’ potentials for financing by KfW.The KfW study on ICT in the transport sector focuses on exploring intelligent transport system (ITS) solutions which are suited to the KfW’s approach and financial products to support digitalisation in the transport sector. This could include the development and implementation of traffic management centres, monitoring, surveillance, electronic fare collection, public transport operations management, mobile applications, and others.Building upon the fruitful deliberations at the kick-off, the study has been moving forward and it is expected to be completed by mid-December 2016.
