The event was co-organised by the European Commission DG RTD and the China Centre for Urban Development (CCUD) of the National Development and Reform Commission of China (NDRC).
Bernd Decker of Rupprecht Consult participated in the EU-China Joint Workshop on Urban Innovation in Foshan City, 29-31 May 2013. Participants at the workshop discussed issues and challenges of urbanisation in Europe and China, exchanged experiences and lessons in urban innovation and promoted innovative development of Chinese cities. One thematic session was dedicated to green urban mobility and attended by public and private organisations’ representatives. The objective was to identify potential research themes and flagship projects for future joint research on sustainable innovation. Rupprecht Consult represented the recently started SOLUTIONS project.
