Our team members Kristin Tovaas and Ralf Brand met Budapests new mayor Gergely Karácsony on Nov. 7 to exchange thoughts about Budapest's successes, challenges and future plans in terms of sustainable urban mobility.
Also present was Michael Glotz-Richter from Bremen because Budapest is keenly interested to learn from Bremen's approach to sustainable mobility. The green party member Karácsony won the recent election and followed the previous incumbent of the Fidesz party, István Tarlós. Karácsony was previously mayor of Budapest's 14th district Zugló, which is one of six "action neighbourhoods" of the SUNRISE project. Rupprecht Consult is the coordinator of the SUNRISE project, which held a consortium meeting in Budapest from November 4 to 7.+49 221 6060 55 18
