Kick-off meeting for the curriculum of the Hessian mobility training

14.02.2024

Rupprecht Consult, Hessen Trade and Invest, and the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Housing kicked off a new training project to support Hessian municipalities in developing Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs). Tailored modules will support the communities in their process of establishing an SUMP and provide relevant hands-on knowledge.

On Monday, January 29th, 2024, Stefan Gabi, Hannah Walther, and Bonnie Fenton from Rupprecht Consult met with representatives from Hessen Trade & Invest, Sustainable Mobility Planning Hesse, and the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport, Housing, and Rural Areas at the House of Mobility & Logistics in Frankfurt am Main. The purpose of the meeting was to kick off a new training project.

Over the next few months, Rupprecht Consult will develop a modular training program for Hessian municipalities that are in the process of creating Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs). A focus group will determine the specific needs of the municipalities so that the training modules provide them with the necessary process and practical hands-on knowledge and skills needed to implement a successful SUMP process. The course will also offer an opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange.

Rupprecht Consult will conduct a needs analysis, develop the curriculum, and create detailed concepts for individual training modules. The results of the project will be summarized in a final report.

We are excited to work on the concept in the coming months and to support Hessian municipalities in their successful development of SUMPs.
