On 18 May 2021, our EfficienCE project organises a workshop on planning for energy-efficient metro stations. We will explore a range of energy-efficient solutions developed in metro stations, focusing on energy monitoring tools.
During the webinar we will take a virtual site visit to one approach by Wiener Linien (carried out within the EfficienCE project): A foil-based photovoltaic system on the roof of the Ottraking metro station. Furthermore, Lukas Kerschhaggl from Wiener Linien will present their solution and how it was developed. We will learn about other approaches, i.e. from Hamburger Hochbahn, Leipzig's LVB, Milano's ATM and Madrid to learn how they worked on increasing energy performance of their metro stations.
