Four brand new SUMP Kits to be published

26.02.2016

Available on CH4LLENGE and ELTIS websites in March 2016

The key outputs of the CH4LLENGE project, coordinated by Rupprecht Consult, will soon be available for download in nine European languages! The SUMP Kits address the four most pressing challenges in the development and implementation of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans: participation, cooperation, measure identification and monitoring and evaluation. They contain a quick-facts brochure, as well a comprehensive manual providing a detailed explanation of the specific “challenge” and practical recommendations for how these can be overcome.  Advice contained in the Kits is based on the knowledge and experience of the project’s nine partner cities and eight knowledge partners, including lessons drawn from the cities’ pilot schemes.

Further free SUMP resources prepared by the CH4LLENGE team include five e-learning courses, allowing you to learn more about sustainable urban mobility planning and its challenges at your own pace and from a computer anywhere in the world.

Would you like to know if your mobility plan is a SUMP? The SUMP Self-Assessment tool is a free online resource accessible via ELTIS that enables you to assess your plan’s compliance with the EU’s SUMP Guidelines, during or after the planning process.

CH4LLENGE is co-funded by the European Commission’s Intelligent Energy Europe Programme and has an overall aim to facilitate the take-up of SUMPs through Europe.”
