On December 17, 2024, we hosted an insightful webinar focusing on the relation of urban logistics and Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans – following the insights of the H2020 project ULaaDS (Urban Logistics an an on demand service). As introduction, the developments of urban logistics presented from the viewpoint of operators– specifically looking at deliveries – followed by the insights of UlaaDS related to urban mobility and logistics concepts and the necessary data and communications. Three Bremen-based demonstrations presented potential and limits of micro-hubs and last-mile delivery by cargo-bike, limits of cargo-hitching and the potential of shared cargo-bikes to replace car trips in private micro-logistics .The session concluded with some discussion and experience of attendees from operators, research and municipalities.
