Indicator Consulting

Are you developing plans, strategies, and measures and want to make your progress visible and measurable? We will work with you to design an indicator system that is practical, integrated, and meaningful. Your challenge: policymakers and the public want to see tangible results, while requirements are increasing. For example, starting in 2026, mandatory Urban Mobility Indicators (UMI) from the European Commission will apply to the urban nodes. The multitude of available indicator sets and variants is complex, and the underlying data must be collected with a manageable effort. We bring extensive experience in the practical development and implementation of indicator systems. We co-developed the UMI set for the European Commission and, together with partners from research and practice, developed a national indicator set for the German Federal Ministry of Transport. Our strength: we bring clarity to complexity and work with you to develop an indicator system that is practical, integrated, and meaningful – so that your progress is visible. If desired, we will also provide our Dashboard, a flexible web-based application that facilitates data collection and makes indicator and measure progress transparent for your target audiences.

Training

Our training activities prepare you for every stage of the SUMP process and address specific challenges of sustainable mobility – from electric mobility to resilience. You will gain hands-on knowledge of practical methods and tools, and benefit from the good practices of other cities across Europe and beyond. We focus on interaction and application: short inputs provide the knowledge you need, which you can then directly apply to your own context through group exercises, case studies, and role-plays. This ensures you take away concrete results, proven methods, and valuable lessons. In addition, we develop training concepts for regional and national SUMP support platforms. We also integrate our online courses from the Mobility Academy, creating a flexible mix of in-person and digital learning formats.
