On September 12, the team enjoyed a day of hiking
In the beautiful setting of the Ahr valley, we followed an 18 km stretch of the "Rotweinwanderweg" (trail amidst mostly red grapevines). On our way, we had a chance to try some of the first wines of the year, the so-called Federweißer and Federroter, wines that have only just started to ferment.We had lunch at Kloster Marienthal, a picturesque winery in an old monastery. Very refreshed, we headed on to Ahrweiler, an old town with town walls and an old synagogue which now serves as a cultural centre. After dinner, we took the train back to our various home destinations.We are looking forward to the next team event, our "Christmas Party".
