Katy Huaylla is welcomed by the integrated plan team
Katy Huaylla is a transport and city planner with professional experience in the transport sector from the public, private and NGO sectors. In 2017, Katy won the Chevening Scholarship to study a master degree in the United Kingdom. She has a MSc in Transport and City Planning from University College London (UCL), UK.
Before joining Rupprecht Consult, she worked with the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in the development of the Non-motorised Transport Strategy for the capital city and the country, as well as supporting monthly car-free days and the bike sharing programme. She also worked with the Sustainable Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT) organisation during the Conference of the Parties 2018 in Poland.
After finishing her MSc in London, she worked as a research assistant in her faculty at UCL in the development of papers for academic journals. Before going to London, she worked extensively in Peru, working more than three years in the Ministry of Transport in the planning and development of the Metro of Lima, as well as for the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima in the north extension of the Bus Rapid Transit “Metropolitano” and the Accessibility Plan in the Historic Centre of Lima.
