Halfway into the project "Mobility plans and concepts in Hesse", first results were presented in September 2020 to an audience of almost 100 planners, mostly from Hessian municipalities.
At the same time, the <link https: mobilitaetsplaene.de external-link-new-window external link in new>online knowledge base was launched, where users can find information on over 500 mobility plans in the federal state of Hesse (Germany). The database helps planners to get an overview of relevant plans in surrounding municipalities, and provides detailed information and contacts for those plans. This will greatly support cooperation between municipalities and integrated planning in the region, consolidating Hesse's status as a SUMP lighthouse in Germany.Since then, Rupprecht Consult, Wuppertal Institute and the University of Wuppertal have continued their work with further statistical analyses and two focus group meetings with municipal planners in December. Two more focus groups are to follow now in January, before tailor-made planning recommendations for different types of municipalities (big/small, rural/urban, etc.) are being developed.<link https: mobilitaetsplaene.de external-link-new-window external link in new>Click here to check out the knowledge base, which will be complemented with further results during 2021.+49 221 6060 55 14
