SUMP Arequipa technical team presents the urban mobility diagnosis in Arequipa

The technical team that develops the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of Arequipa made presentations over the week of Dec 7-10 on the Diagnosis and Analysis of the Mobility of Metropolitan Arequipa during various physical and hybrid meetings to the Mayor of the Provincial Municipality of Arequipa, advisors, municipal managers, city council and official members of the Technical Committee "MUNI MUS", the media and the advisory committee for the SUMP "DIALOGUEMUS", and kicked-off the strategic phase of the SUMP with a workshop.

New project started: The CyclePoetic City

Rupprecht Consult participates in the new Erasmus+ project "The CyclePoetic City". This somewhat unconventional title indicates the project underlying assumption that sustainable mobility in general and cycling in particular is not only a rational form of getting from A to B but a cultural expression. New SUMP Topic Guide on Sustainable Neighbourhood Mobility Planning

A brand new SUMP Topic guide has just been released as a direct result of the findings from the SUNRISE project, which was coordinated by Rupprecht Consult. The guide describes the relationship between sustainable mobility planning efforts at the neighbourhood level and the city-wide (SUMP) level. It also provides tips on how synergies between these two planning levels can be maximised.

Lisa Blondrath (soon) holds a Master’s Degree in Business Engineering with a focus on Transportation from Bergische Universität Wuppertal. She wrote her Master Thesis on “the Integration of Automated Vehicles in the City of the Future” and was led to Rupprecht Consult through her last job at the Institute for Systems Research in Information, Communication and Media Technology at Uni Wuppertal, where she worked on a project on automated mobility. She is supporting the CIM team as trainee.
