Read moreUm Mobilitätsalternativen zum Pkw im ländlichen Raum zu stärken, startete der VRS im Februar 2014 im Kreis Euskirchen in den Kommunen Kall, Hellenthal, Schleiden und Bad Münstereifel eine aktive ÖPNV-Beratung. Das Angebot im Rahmen des EU-Projekts „SmartMove“ ist nun beendet worden und zeigt erstaunlich positive Ergebnisse. 90 Prozent der Interviewten fühlten sich hinterher insgesamt besser informiert, 46 Prozent – im Gegensatz zu vorherigen 19 Prozent – kennen nun den TaxiBus und in den „SmartMove-Kommunen“ wurden zwischen Januar 2015 und Januar 2016 ganze 15 Prozent mehr Fahrten per TaxiBus unternommen. Im Projekt arbeiteten verschiedene Verkehrsunternehmen, Verkehrsverbünde und Universitäten in Europa unter der Federführung der Universität für Bodenkultur Wien zusammen.
