Mobility Planet podcast: What's the big deal about data?

New month - new episode. Listen to our newest episode on data and new mobility. Everybody talks about big data, but what is it good for? In the context of the GECKO project, which looks at various aspects of the governance and regulation of new mobility, our colleague Bonnie Fenton had a wide-ranging discussion with three GECKO stakeholders about data and new mobility. Her conversation partners were: Bernd Ivanschitz, a data scientist from Wiener Linien, the public transport provider in Vienna, Laura Eiro, a programme director at ITS Finland with an expertise in Mobility as a Service, and Gregor Petri, an economist and co-founder of a company that provides data analytics for the mobility sector. SUMP Poster - Now available in multiple languages!

Inspired by success stories from European cities that have implemented Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs), the SUMP poster illustrates the sustainable planning process for transport in an urban area. This poster has now been translated into 9 languages. The translations were completed by Rupprecht Consult with the support of several projects, including LOW-CARB and ReVeAL.

Gender and SUMP at the Fifth High-Level Meeting on Transport Health and the Environment

The Fifth High-level Ministerial Meeting on Transport, Health and Environment has just wrapped up (10-18 May 2021) as part of the United Nations’ Pan-European Programme (PEP). Its motto is “Building forward better by transforming to new, clean, safe, healthy and inclusive mobility and transport” and it featured a side even called “The Gender Perspective”.
